Challenge:  To identify usability improvement opportunities within a secure area of the DaimlerChrysler.com web site

Blue Sun Works' Solution: Based on a referral from a previous DaimlerChrysler client, ChryslerFinancial asked Blue Sun Works to conduct a usability analysis of a secure area within the DaimlerChrysler.com web site. This section of their site allowed vehicle owners to make payments online, as well as access other important account information. Two Blue Sun Works usability experts reviewed the site, identified usability issues and made recommendations. We presented this information in a report that was later used to make improvements.

Challenge:  Validate the usability of a proposed new intranet design

Blue Sun Works' Solution:  After identifying key Kelly Services' intranet users and learning more about their needs, Blue Sun Works developed paper prototypes for a proposed new intranet design. Using these prototypes, Blue Sun Works facilitated usability tests to identify probem areas and refine the design. The refined design was subsequently used to develop a new intranet interface that received accolades from Kelly Services employees, a pretigious marketing award and ultimately led to a promotion for the client!

Challenge:  Find out what employees need most with regard to training and development information, and current problems associated with an existing intranet site

Blue Sun Works' Solution:  Through interviews and usability tests, Blue Sun Works learned about employee needs and usability issues associated with an existing training and development intranet site. We then revised existing content to be more clear and concise, and reorganized the site to make high priority information easier to access. Subsequent online usability tests allowed us to validate the new design and ultimately launch a new intranet site that better met the needs of its intended audience.
